  • Mindy Salyers, LCMHC-A, MSC, BA

    As a Christian educator and licensed School Counselor of nearly 20 years, Mindy has served in both the private and public school sectors with an emphasis on at-risk students. In particular, Mindy has worked on six grant-funded initiatives aimed to close the educational gap. She partnered with the La Sierra University Center for Conflict Resolution and is piloting a school counseling service for Conferences across the NAD. With certifications as an OLWEUS Bullying Prevention trainer, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Specialist, and basic certification in Restorative Practices, along with her wide variety of experiences, she has served in roles at every level of education, but found that her greatest passion is facilitating student social, emotional, and academic growth within the context of her Adventist faith.

    Mindy currently lives in a mountain retreat with her husband, two daughters, and two golden retrievers.

  • Tricia Lofthouse, MSW

    As an active elementary, middle, and academy School Social Worker, Tricia dedicates her ongoing work in Adventist schools to dealing with friendships, bully prevention, anger management, conflict resolution, stress management, self-esteem, grief recovery, divorce recovery,  just to name a few. The venues consist of classroom presentations, small group work, and short-term individual counseling.  She helps students sort out the tough stuff, which leaves more clarity of mind for the educational experience. As Counseltation’s Social Work Site and Field Supervisor, she over sees the Social Work undergraduate and graduate interns that are preparing for a lifelong work in bringing mental health to schools. Tricia says, “I am privileged to be a part of shaping our future generation for Christ's Kingdom.” 

  • Abbigayle Waisome, B.A.

    Abbigayle Waisome is an experienced social worker with over five years of practical involvement in different areas of the profession. With honors, Abbigayle holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from the Northern Caribbean University and is currently enrolled in the Graduate Degree in Social Work at Andrews University.

    Currently, Abbigayle serves as a Direct Care Professional, requiring her to supervise Neurodiverse individuals. Moreover, Abbigayle made a significant impact as a high school Social Worker by successfully reengaging over 300 disengaged school students.

    Driven by passion, hard work, and empathy, Abbigayle continues her journey by striving to live by the Biblical text, “With God, all things are possible” Matthew 19:26.

  • Erica Jones, BS, CHW

    Erica is an experienced Behavioral Health Worker with a passion for supporting and fostering youth development. Her Batchelor’s of Science in Psychology with a counseling emphasis, Erica aims to grow her skills as she currently pursues a Master’s degree in Social Work from Oakwood College.

    Along with her educational and professional background, Erica is a the proud parent to two teenagers and a 9-year old, which gives her great understanding in child development and parenting. She uses these skills in her current role as Care Coordinator for Family Services in Murfeesboro, TN, where she advocates, connects, and coordinates needed community-based services for families.

    She says, “My objective is to empower students by providing quality counseling and support to promote social educational and career development.”

  • Bradford Goodridge, BA, MSC

    With a Bachelors in Theology and Masters in School Counseling, Bradford is the perfect combination of school mental health specialist and contextualized spiritual foundation. With certifications in Achievement Gap Specialist and Trauma & Crisis Management certifications, he has served at the Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence and Hamilton County Schools, Bradford collaborates on growing positive behavior in students through interventions and relationships, responding to each teacher’s need for help with non-negotiable behavior, educating students through disciplinary programs that restore them to the classroom, advocating for students and teachers in IEP and Student Support Team meetings, and targeting students in need of small groups or individual counseling.

    In his free time, Bradford leads the Crosswalk Kids program at his local church, spends time with his sister, and builds his Star Wars collection.

  • Erica Smith, LGPC

    Erica Smith serves as the Assistant Director of Women’s Ministries for theNorth American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. She received her master’s degree in professional counseling from Liberty University.

     

    Erica is passionate about reaching young women with the message that they are “loved and seen” and offers free, confidential mentoring via the department’s ‘gorgeous2god’ platform. Erica also manages the Division’s abuse prevention and response initiative, “enditnow,” through which she and her team have trained nearly 100 advocates to date from across the country and Canada. Their most recent project was the first-of-its-kind manual for addressing abuse in faith-communities entitled, “Safeguarding Peace.”

     Erica lives in Maryland with her husband, Gavin, where she also co-manages an animal rescue and spends time with her own pets, Boots, Max, and Lily.
